Shooting In the Rain

Being in the Northwest, Spokane tends to have rain (or even snow) in the Spring, which can add complications to shooting (reduced light, and of course the wet and cold that most cameras are not sealed against). One of my biggest complications (besides my camera's lack of weather sealing) was the rather dull and unattractive backgrounds I had to deal with due to the rain. As such, I started trying to focus on details that I could easily isolate from the background. I had to do this on this last Thursday.

I didn't get many shots period on that shoot - non-waterproof camera + rain = not good - but I did get a few, one of which I like:
