Audio Slideshow: Memories and Cookies

 To paraphrase a friend, like a box of mental postcards, nostalgic childhood memories can be heartwarming to recollect and can bring joy to a cold and dreary time of year.

Justefanie and Santiago talk about their memories of baking snickerdoodles with theor family, and reflect upon what it means to them in the years hence.

I also show photographs of my own family baking related to the topic at hand.

In the end, for many people baking and cookies bring back warm memories of cold winter days spent with the family, which might never be replicated. It's a different and usually special experience for almost everyone, which is part of the reason I chose to focus on it for this project.

Personally, I lived in a hot climate where winter-time cookies were usually just the normal shortbread cookie (dry!) with frosting, so I find other people's memories of snickerdoodles quite interesting.
